FAQs
Can members of the public call you?
No, unfortunately we are only available to take calls from health professionals. We encourage members of the public to discuss any questions with their community pharmacy or general practitioner.
Do your answers undergo a quality assurance process?
Yes. Our verbal answers are quality assured retrospectively, the week after the response was given, by a quality assurance group consisting of the medicines information pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, clinical pharmacologists and our pharmacology registrar. Emailed or written referenced responses are quality assured prospectively by another medicines information pharmacist, and/or a clinical pharmacologist. Abbreviated versions of these responses are then retrospectively quality-assured by the aforementioned group.
Do you provide information for research, study or assignments?
No, we have limited staff resourcing so our time is targeted towards specific patient care. However, we have provided some resources on our website which will hopefully be of some help.
